File Formats & Artwork Preparation

To ensure smooth production, Custom Box Pro accepts the following file formats:

  • PDF (Portable Document Format)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)

  • EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)

These vector-based formats guarantee that your lines and text remain crisp and clean during printing. For best results, use the "Press Quality" preset when saving your designs.

Color Profiles & Printing Guidelines

To ensure accurate color representation, it’s essential to use the correct color profiles. We recommend using CMYK for printing. RGB is not recommended as it is meant for digital displays.

  • We can print in PMS (Pantone) colors and Spot UV for additional detailing.
  • For optimal black printing, use 100% K value in your CMYK color mode.
  • Switch to CMYK in designing software

Dielines & Structural Design

Never flatten your dieline with the artwork layer. Always keep them separated for accurate production.

  • Cut Line (Black Lines): Indicates where the box will be cut to its final size.
  • Crease Line (Red Lines): Marks the fold lines on your packaging.
  • Perforation Line (Dotted Black Lines): Creates easy-tear sections in your packaging.
  • Bleed Line (Green Lines): Extends artwork beyond the cut line to ensure seamless printing.
